This is at the very edge of Pier 39 with Alcatraz island in the background. We didn't go to the actual prison, because apparently the weather is freezing and windy there, so I didn't want Bethany to get too cold. So we just looked at it from a distance. It was SO nice to get out of the house and do something touristy. Bethany slept the whole time! We also stopped at Ghirardelli chocolate square and got ice cream and chocolate. That was a nice ending to the outing.
The sea lions were so cool! They were totally sunbathing, and using each other as pillows. It was funny to watch them try to get up, and walk on top of each other to jump back into the water. We saw a couple of barking fights! They are such cool animals, it was awesome seeing them up close. Too bad Bethany was asleep!
I poured warm water on a hot glass pan and it exploded. It was so scary. It was a huge blessing that Bethany never got hurt, because I was holding her right there when it happened. So much for our dinner...
